Rita K (Mellish) Craig

Rita K. Craig, 76, of Chicora, Pennsylvania passed away late Monday, June 19, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was born in Butler, PA. April 16, 1947 to the late Alvin Mellish and the late Ruth A. Donaldson Mellish.

She attended East Brady High School. She had worked at Bobby Brooks, Big River, and the Chicora Medical Center. She also worked for O.P.M.  (Office Personal Management) Services at the Underground Mine in Boyers retiring in 2009.

She is survived by her husband Richard “Rick” Craig, Jr. whom she married July 29, 1954.

She is survived by a daughter: Cindy Craig Smith and her fiancé Sam Dimichele.

                    A Granddaughter: Dakota Craig

                        3 sisters: Linda Lee Mellish of San Miguel d Allende, Mexico

                                       Debra Mellish of Catasauqua, PA.

                                       Donna Baccanti of Butler, PA.       

                        A brother: Mike Mellish and (Mary Anne) of Nashville, Tennessee

                        Father-in-law: Richard L. “Dick” Craig, Sr.

                        Brothers-in-law: Danny Craig

                                                   Chuck and Susan Craig

                                                   Scott and Sherri Craig

She is preceded in death by her: parents Alvin and Ruth Mellish

                                                   Mother-in-law: Betty Craig

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
