Margaret J. (Shakley) Swigart

Margaret J. Swigart, 86 of Karns City, Pennsylvlania, died unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. She was born Tuesday, March 12, 1935 the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (McElroy) Shakley. She married William M. Swigart October 2, 1964 and he died January 28, 2008. 

Margaret worked at Magnetics for 42 years, was a member of Saint Paul Community Church, The Red Hats, Chicora Senior Center, The ladies' auxiliary to the Sugarcreek Volunteer Fire Department, The Donegal Grange.

She is survived by: her nephew Emile and wife Laureen Vlassich, several nieces and nephews, great - nieces and great - nephews, sisters-in-law: Sally Swigart, Emma Protzman, Sandy Hilderbrand, and a brother-in-law, Don Swigart.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Swigart, three sisters: Ruth Vlassich, Florence Kocher, Betty Lou Adams, a brother: Ike Shakley

Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock Street, Chicora, PA, with Reverend Frank Sapp officiating.

Interment will be Monday, beside her husband in Oak Grove Cemetery, 2167 PA-268, Chicora, PA  16025
