Margaret L. "Peggy" (Ace) Erb

Margaret L. “Peggy” Erb, 66 of Chicora, PA  passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 6, 2022, in the Transitions Healthcare Autumn Grove, 555 South Main Street,  Harrisville, PA. She was born in Chicora, October 3, 1955 the daughter of the late Richard Ace and the late Margaret Geibel Ace. She married James W. Erb, Senior October 21, 1978 who died June 14, 2007.

She graduated from Karns City High School in 1973. She was a member of Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church in Chicora.  A member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Chicora Fireman’s Auxiliary and Volunteered for the American Red Cross. Peggy enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, being with her family and dining out.

Peggy is survived by: a son, James W. Erb, Jr. and his wife Alma of Natrona Heights; 4 daughters: Christy (Sadhana) Neal of Natrona Heights, Melanie (Dean) Reges, of Butler; Jamie (William) Gamble of Chicora; Pam (Jason) Mayle of Columbus, Ohio.  9 grandchildren: Austin McGuire, Gryffyn Gamble, Wheeler Gamble, Catherine Erb, Hunter McGuire, Jacob Erb, Adriana Mayle, Phoenix Gamble, Grayson Neal, a step-granddaughter, Deana Reges. 2 brothers: Rich and Jean Ace of Florida; Randy Ace, Franklin; 2 sisters: Patty (Ed) McConnell of Karns City; Anna (Alan) Barnhart of Bruin, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband James W. Erb, Peggy is preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Deanna Ace.

Friends are received 3-6 Thursday, May 12, 2022 with blessing services following at 6 p.m. at the STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock Street, Chicora, PA Officiated by Reverend Matt McClain.

Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.
