Obituary

Gary L. Craig, 80 of Chicora, PA passed away on September 4, 2022 after a hard-fought battle with cancer at Good Samaritan Hospice. He was born in Butler, PA in September 12, 1941, and was raised by Vic and Fanny Craig.

Gary was previously employed by Fugini Ford, Hertz Trucking, Dunmyer Express, Consolidated Lumber and Truss, and Central Transport.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching westerns, being outdoors, hunting, cutting firewood, and building birdhouses.

Gary is survived by his wife, Mary (Hockenberry) Craig whom he married on September 10, 1966. He is also survived by his three children: Candy (Craig) Claypoole and her husband Jason of Hillards; Randy Craig and his wife Charla (Holly) of Chicora; Leslie Craig and his wife Dianna (Breski) of Worthington. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren: Britnee (Craig) Rush and her husband Herman of Chicora; Kirstin Craig of Chicora; Tyler Claypoole of Hillards, Travis Claypoole of Hillards, Liam Breski of Worthington. He is also survived by his Uncle Richard Craig and several sibling, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service and dinner will be held for immediate family only at Christ’s Family Church.
