Carl Edward Fennell

Mr. Carl Edward Fennell age 76 of Toccoa, Georgia, formerly of Chicora, Pennsylvania, passed away Tuesday September 5, 2023 after an extended illness.

The son of the late Norman "Butch" Henry and Goldie McNany Fennell, he was born May 21, 1947 in Fenelton, Pennsylvania. After graduating high school in Chicora, he moved to Toccoa, Georgia to attend Toccoa Falls College.  After graduating from TFC, he became Dean of Students at Toccoa Falls Academy. After the Academy closed in 1976, he became Dean of Students at Dabun Gap Nacoochee School. From there he moved on to Sumpter Christian School and then back to Rabun Gap where he spent a total of 24 years before retirement. After he retired he worked for the Maintenance Department at Toccoa Falls College for several years.

Friends of Carl Edward Fennell will be received September 14, 2023 from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m.at the Chicora Alliance Church, 310 E. Slippery Rock Street, Chicora, PA. A graveside service and interment will follow at St. Johns Reformed Church Cemetery, 334 W.. Slippery Rock Street, Chicora, PA. officiated by Reverend Mark Wallace.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 310 E. Slippery Rock Street, Chicora, PA 16025.
