Wanda Rodgers, 64 of Karns City, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully, April 29, 2017,  after a long struggle with many complications of diabetes. She was surrounded by her loving sisters at the Clarview Nursing Home in Sligo, where she resided for over four years. Previously she resided with her husband in Butler, PA.

Born in Butler March 6, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Helen Lucas Shanafelt and James Shanafelt. She was a beautician and then worked as a baker in the Butler Walmart's  bakery department. She was a graduate of Keystone High School in Knox, PA – Clarion County and, also, a graduate from Ora Jean Beauty School in Erie, PA. She worked several years as a beautician in the Butler area.

She is survived by sisters, Sandra (Ben) Beichner-Shippenville, PA, Patricia (Jack) Allmendinger-Knox, PA, Pamala (Jeff) Shively of Karns City, Robin (Donald) Ivol-Bethel Park, Nancy (Ron) Shanafelt-Reimersburg and brothers: Rodger Shanafelt-Vt. and Samuel (Barb) Brothers-Fairview.Dallas Dean (Sue)-Shanafelt Tionesta, Kathy Shanafelt-Emlenton.

Step-children: Tony (Cathy) Rodgers-Aiken, SC, Pam (Michael) Beechem-Surprise, AZ,

Preceded in death by her husband Clyde A. Rodgers, October 11, 2014. Sisters: Mary Jane Shanafelt, Barbara (Sam) Brothers, Linda Williams and brothers: Larry Shanafelt, Arthur (Kathy) Shanafelt, Ronald (Nancy) Shanafelt, and a Step-son Patrick Rodgers

Friends received Tuesday, May 2, 2017, 12 – 2 p.m. followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 Main and E. Slippery Rock Streets, Downtown Chicora, PA, with Reverend Brenda Reitler, Zion Assembly Church of God, 131 Olive Street,  Karns City. PA. Interment will follow in the Rodgers Family Cemetery, Carbon Center Road, Butler, PA.
