Ruby K. Wind age 96 of Chicora, PA. passed away peacefully Monday, March 6, 2017 in the Chicora Medical Center with her family at her side.  Born in Concord Township August 25, 1920. The daughter of the late Elias Irwin King and the late B. Alvina Fleming King.

She was a registered nurse working in nursing homes in Erie, PA and retired from Autumn Grove Nursing Home in Harrisville, PA.

She married Franklin George Wind August 16, 1947.  He died November 17, 1979. She is survived by a brother John King of Chicora, nephews and nieces, including her caretaker, Beverly Cunningham, of Chicora.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by a brother and 2 sisters.

She was a member of the Chicora Methodist Church.

Friends received at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Streets, Downtown Chicora, PA. Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 2-4 with services at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with the Reverend Mark Wallace officiating.

Private interment will be at Concord Cemetery, Hooker, PA.
