Obituary


Robert 'Bob' W. Barnhart, 84 of Fenelton passed away Sunday morning, April 8, 2012, at the Butler Veteran Affairs Hospital.

Born on November 27, 1927, in Concord Township, he was the son of the late George Hutchison and Florence Emminger Barnhart.

Robert served in the European Theater of Operations in World War II. in the ARMY. He retired from Armco Works, member of Saint John's Catholic Parish, of Coylesville where he had been a member of the St. John's Parish Council for more than 35 years, and had served on the Administration Committee and as an usher.  In 1967 he was honored for years of service by Reverend Patrick McCarthy, and in 1999 was the first member from St. John's Parish to receive the Manifesting the Kingdom honor from the Diocese of Pittsburgh.

He is preceded in death by his wife Cecelia A. (Rodgers) Barnhart whom he married on August 27, 1947.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be Wednesday; 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Coylesville, PA.  with Reverend Donald Bischof, pastor, officiating.
Interment following in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Coylesville, PA.
At the cemetery Full Military Honors will conducted by members of the Chicora V.F.W., Chicora American Legion, East Brady American Legion Post, and the 316th Readiness Command of Pittsburgh.
