Orres 'Orrie' Rea Pennington, age 70  of Petrolia, PA passed away unexpected at his home Friday, February, 9, 2018. Born October 4, 1947 in Eldorado, PA to the late Fred and Mildred Rea Pennington.

He was a graduate of Karns City High School, and a veteran of the U. S. ARMY serving in Vietnam.

He owned the family homestead where he liked farming, the outdoors, cooking, and singing Irish songs. He owned and operated J & S Industrial Supplies.

He is survived by a son: Jason and Rosary Pennington of Clarion, a grandson: Gunner Pennington of whom he was very, very proud. 3 sisters: Loretta Rey of Harrisburg, Sonja Cratty of West Sunbury, Randa and Butch Anthony of Eldorado. 2 brothers: Clarence Pennington of Kingsport, Tennessee, Otis and Doreen Pennington of Eldorado, several nieces and nephews.

Besides he parents he is preceded in death by a sister Virginia Lee Gehrs and a brother Lewis Pennington.

Friends received 1-3 p.m. til time of service at 3 p.m. Tuesday, February, 13, 2018 at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Streets, Chicora, PA  with the Reverend Paul DeBacco officiating.  Private burial will be in New Salem Cemetery, Annisville, PA.
