Merle L. Campbell Sr., age 99 of Chicora, PA. died Monday, December 18, 2017 in the Kittanning Care Center, 120 Care Center Drive, Kittanning, PA. 16201. He was born December 4, 1918 in Concord Township, Hooker, PA the son of the late Ray and Desa Irene Cumberland Campbell.

He married Alene E. Iman Campbell in August 16, 1947 who died January 6, 2017.

He was an equipment operator of backhoes, graders, and he was a truck driver.

He is survived by his son, Merle L. Campbell Jr. and wife Jody of Butler. A daughter-in-law Connie Campbell of Karns City. 5 grandchildren: Sarah and Frank Walowen of Chicora; Michele and Zac Boda of Butler; Eric and Maria Campbell of Butler; Robin and David Binkley of Plum Borough, Pittsburgh; John and Dyan Hesidence of Karns City. 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. A brother, Ray Campbell Jr. of Karns City; a sister, Ruth Young of Sarver, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Donald J. Campbell, who died November 25, 2017, and a great-grandson Isaac Walowen.
