Marilyn J. McGinnis, age 80 of Chicora, PA passed away this afternoon, Monday, March 5, 2018 in the Chicora Medical Center following an illness. Born October 26, 1937 in Fairview, PA the daughter of the late Clifford and Mildred M. Shakely Bly.

She married Robert J. McGinnis October 4, 1958; he died November 17, 2006. She worked in bookkeeping for Mellon Bank in Chicora and Butler for 6 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chicora.

She is survived by a son Victor McGinnis of Chicora, a daughter Jean Louise and her husband Brian Pfirman---Lowell, Arkansas. 2 brothers: Allen Dean and Dorothy Bly of Butler, Clifford LaMoyne and Barbara Bly of Sarver, a sister,  Bonnie Lee and Willis Riggle of Kittanning and several nieces and nephews.

Friends received 7-9 p.m Wednesday, March 7, 2018 and 2-4 and 7-9 Thursday at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, Corner of Main and East Slippery Rock Streets, Chicora, PA

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2018 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2217 Chicora Road, Chicora, PA with Reverend Joseph Boomhower officiating.

Interment will be in St. John Reformed Church Cemetery, 334 W. Slippery Rock Street, Chicora, PA
