Leonard P. Ace, age 89 of Chicora, PA. died Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler, PA. with his family at his side. Born Monday, January 28, 1929 in Fairview Township, Fairview, PA. the son of Hays R. and Catherine Lowers Ace.

He attended Karns City High School, worked at National Transit in Chicora, and then worked and retired from Penreco after 8 years. He was a US ARMY veteran serving his country proudly in the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Leonard married Jean Marie Fresh Ace and she died February 15, 1974, he later married Erma Roudebush Ace, who died in 2000.

He is survived by: a daughter, Darla (John) Kobert of Butler; sons, Leonard D. Ace of Chicora, Thomas P. Ace of Parker; 3 step-children, Peggy (James) Ball of St. Joseph Michigan, Tonya (Alvin) Rumbaugh of Chicora, O.J. Roudebush of Bruin; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Streets, Chicora, PA    7-9 Wednesday, April 18, 2018 with funeral serviced held

Thursday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home officiated by Reverend Ronald Roudebush.

Interment will be in Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia, PA.
