Kenneth L. Gray
Kenneth L. Gray, 68, of Chicora unexpectedly went to be with the Lord at 5:30 p.m. Monday in Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Pittsburgh, July 12, 1944, the son of the late Roland H. Gray and Henrietta Brown Gray.
He married Gladys Rivera Gray in December 1959. They enjoyed 43 years together.
He was a crane operator for Lafarge Corporation in Pittsburgh for 20 years until the plant closed. Then he worked for Mars/Bethel Golf course, retiring after 10 years.
He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Chicora.
Kenneth was an avid hunter, enjoyed motorcycle riding and loved his three dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys Rivera Gray; son, David L. and Melissa Gray of McCandless Township, Pittsburgh; sister, Virginia and James Morton of Pittsburgh; brother, Larry H. and Marilyn Gray of Cary, N.C.; and two stepgrandchildren, William and Jennifer.
GRAY - Friends of Kenneth L. Gray, who passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Streets, Downtown Chicora. Services will follow at noon and the Rev. Roland Gray, pastor of the Beaver Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Mark Wallace, pastor of the Chicora Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
Interment will follow in Concord Cemetery, Hooker, Pa.
