Jean E. Kaiser
Jean E. Kaiser, 74, of Edinburg, Pa., near New Castle, died at her home at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday following a lingering illness.
She was born at Kepples Corners, Chicora, on March 18, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Delbert R. and Martha E. Iman Umstead.
She married William C. Kaiser on March 27, 1971, and he passed away on July 31, 1994.
She is survived by stepdaughters, Linda and Herman Seymour of Ft. Myers, Fla., Clara Kaiser of Austintown, Ohio, Nancy Kaiser of Austintown, Ohio, and Jean and James Schmitt of Edinburg, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, including Sue Allshouse, with whom she lived; and 13 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her sister, Mrs. Sally Wellman of California, and her brother, Richard and Barb Umstead of Chicora.
She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Gloria Allshouse, and her stepson, Thomas Kaiser.
KAISER - Friends of Jean E. Kaiser, who died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, will be received at the STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main streets, Chicora, from 6 to 8 p.m. today.
Funeral services will immediately follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Powell, associate pastor of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Chicora, officiating. Interment will be in Hemphill Cemetery, Chicora.
