James L. Kusner, 70 of Karns City, PA. died early Friday morning, June 9, 2023 in UPMC Hospital, 9100 Babcock Blvd. Pittsburgh, PA. Born in Butler Hospital January 9, 1953 to the late James F. Kusner and the late Elizabeth Vargo.

He graduated from Karns City High School. He retired from Breymas Construction, Saxonburgh, PA after twenty years of service as a welder.

He enjoyed hunting, gardening, cooking, camping, flea markets, and his dog Sassy.

He is survived by his wife Beverly Deal whom he married June 14, 1975 after 48 years of bliss.

2 sons: Michael Kusner of Karns City and his friend Valerie.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Steighner Funeral Home, Chicora, PA. with

Mass of Christian Burial  held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, St. Clare Parish in North Oakland, Chicora, PA

with Father Lou Pascazi officiating.  Interment of cremains will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery, across from the church.
