Harriet E. "Sunny" Hamilton, 71, of Chicora passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at 5:30 p.m. Friday at her home.
She was born Jan. 24, 1944, in New York. She is the daughter of the late Walter Wandelt and Rhoda Claypool Wandelt.
She was a homemaker who had worked at Zayre's, Zanella's Gas Station and McGinleys Nursing Home for several years. She was Protestant by faith. She enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. She liked gardening, reading, and making flower arrangements.
She married her husband, William Charles Hamilton, on May 29, 1965, and he preceded her in death Jan. 25, 2001.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Evans and her husband, Bob, of Chicora, Tammy Courson and her husband, Todd, of Slippery Rock and Kelley Passaro and her husband, Steve, of Butler; her grandchildren, Maddie, Stephanie, T.J., Joshua, Elijah, Travis and Trevor; her great-grandson, Brayden; and her brother, Ronald Wandelt of Nevada. She also has three sisters and a brother in California.
Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her son, William Charles Hamilton Jr. and her mother-in-law, Susan Hamilton.
HAMILTON - At the request of Harriet E. "Sunny" Hamilton, who died Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, there will be no public visitation.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main streets, downtown, Chicora.
The service will be officiated by the Rev. Mark Wallace
Interment will be private.
