Edward Lee Mackey, age 74 of Chicora, PA. died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in the E.R.  of Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning, PA.

and was born January 10, 1950 in Butler, PA. the son of the late John C. Mackey and the late Sarah Evelyn Wolfe Mackey.

He was a member of Trinity Reformed Church of Brady's Bend, PA. and a member of Sugarcreek Fire Department. Edward retired from Castle Rubber after 25 years of service. He liked woodworking, and being with his sons and grandsons.  He especially liked working outdoors doing water-well drilling.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Toy Mackey; 2 sons, Jeremiah Mackey of Butler, and Kevin and Brianna Mackey of East Brady, PA; 2 grandsons: Jonah and Bryson Mackey, several aunts, uncles, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews. .

Ed is preceded in death by a brother, John Mackey, a sister, Sara Mackey, one special sister, Margie Russner, and a brother-in-law.

Friends received at Steighner Funeral Home in Chicora, PA. Saturday April 27, 2024,  2-5 p.m. with Sugarcreek Fire Department Services-Last Call followed by funeral service at the funeral home with Peter Sapp, Pastor of Trinity Reformed Church in Brady's Bend, PA.

Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church Cemetery,
