Dorothy G. Ryan, 85 of Chicora died Tuesday of natural causes at Sugar Creek Rest.
Born May 21, 1930, in Chicora, she was the daughter of John J. Young and Emma D. Kiser Young.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in North Oakland, Chicora, and the Christian Mothers of the church. She liked crossword puzzles, playing cards, bingo and baking.
She is survived by her husband, Charles F. Ryan; her daughters, Darlene and her husband, Dennis Geibel, of Chicora, Brenda and her husband, Brian Werner, of Chicora and Florida; Marsha and her husband, Mark Sanders, of Grove City, Ohio, Lisa and her husband, Tim Wahler, of Butler and Amy Spatig of Butler; her sons, Charles D. and his wife, Pearl, of Chicora, Dennis and his wife, Rita, of Fenelton, Bradley and his wife, Susan, of Butler, Joe Dee and his wife, Tanya, of Chicora and Todd and his wife, Julie, of Butler; 23 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Alan Ryan; three brothers; and three sisters
RYAN - Friends of Dorothy G. Ryan, who died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main streets, Chicora.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, North Oakland, Chicora Road, Chicora, with the Rev. John Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Church Cemetery, North Oakland, Chicora Road, Chicora.
