Clyde Elmer McCollough
Clyde Elmer McCollough, 99, of Frostproof, Fla., formerly of Chicora, passed away Monday at Grove Center Nursing Home, Lake Wales, Fla., of heart failure.
He was born March 10, 1913, in Fairview Township, to the late Allen C. McCollough and Anna G. (Fox) McCollough.
Clyde went to Frostproof in 1978. He was a retired production manager working 44 years for Penreco, a division of Pennzoil in Karns City. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Frostproof where he was a deacon and an elder.
He also was preceded in death by his wives, Grace McCollough and Joy C. McCollough.
Survivors include his son, Robert McCollough of Frostproof, Fla.; stepsons, Ross Bryant of Jacksonville, Fla., and Johnn Rountree of Orlando, Fla.; stepdaughters, Sandra Mathews of Jacksonville, Fla., and Kathlene Ward of Orlando; longtime friend, Georgia Perry of Frostproof; two stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
MCCOLLOUGH - Clyde Elmer McCollough passed away Monday, Dec. 17, 2012. Funeral services were held this morning at the First Presbyterian Church of Frostproof, Fla. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Streets, downtown, Chicora. Memorial services will be at the funeral home at 8:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Mark Wallace officiating. A private interment will be in Hillview Cemetery, Kepples Corners, Chicora.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 101 N. Palm Ave., Frostproof, FL 33813-2037.
