It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for a piece of us went with you the day the Lord took you home. We lost our sweet sister, Cecilia Ann Geibel, 68, of Butler, Pennsylvania, Tuesday, May 24, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born in Butler, PA. October 6, 1947 to Joseph and Cecelia Kriley Geibel.  Cecilia Ann loved her siblings, and their spouses, her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She enjoyed playing cards, especially 500 bid and crazy eights, bingo, scratch-off lottery tickets, putting puzzles together, music, especially 'Ring of Fire', feeding the birds, word search, reading, and crafts (especially making baby blankets). She was in the process of making a baby blanket for her most recent grand niece at the time her passing.

She was a member of Saint Wendelin Catholic Church in Butler, PA

She is survived by her siblings Rose Chuba and her husband Michael, Rita Criley, Stella Geibel, and her husband Robin, Joseph Geibel and his wife Brenda, Donna Green and her husband Regis, Jim Geibel and his wife, Ruth, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Cecelia Kriley Geibel, her sister, Mary Catherine, 'Cassie' Geibel. Her nephew Jonathan Douglas Green, and Great Nephew, Nicholas James Herman -'Live like Nick'.

Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 East Slippery and Main Streets, Chicora, PA.

A mass of Christian burial will held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 at Saint Wendelin Catholic Church, Carbon Center, Butler, PA. with Father Matt McClain, pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery in Herman, PA
