Mary Jane Beilstein Oesterling age 79, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in Cottonwood, Arizona in the Verde Valley Medical Center, Cottonwood, following a short illness with her husband by her side.
She was born in Butler, PA, September 2, 1938 the daughter of the late Carl Beilstein and Lois McKay Beilstein.
After graduation from Butler High School, she was a secretary for Country Bell in Mount Chestnut for 5 years and then worked for Nationwide Insurance Company in Butler, PA for 15 years where she worked as coverage code rater.
Mary Jane throughout her life resided in Butler, Connecticut, then moved to Florida when her mother needed her, then back to Butler, and Chicora, finally moving to Arizona for health reasons.
When she lived in Chicora, she was a former member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was very active teaching catechism and working funeral dinners. She, also, found time to deliver meals on wheels for 35 years, and was an enthusiastic bowler in Butler.
She is survived by her husband William A. Oesterling, whom she married February 22, 1974. 2 brothers: James Beilstein of California, Gerald Beilstein of Prescott, Arizona, 13 nieces and nephews. A sister-in-law 'Sis' Beilstein of New York.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Jack Beilstein.
Friends received at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Streets in the heart of Chicora. Wednesday, August 29, 2018, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2217 Chicora Road, from 10 -11 a.m, with services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joseph Boomhower officiating. Burial will be in Gruenwald Cemetery, Bonniebrook Road, Summit Township, PA.
