Marion E. (Stahlman) Heck

Marion E. Heck, age 84 of East Brady, PA, passed away at 12:05 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 in Allegheny Health Network/West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. following a short illness. She was born in Donegal Township, Chicora, PA. on Monday, July 31, 1933 the daughter of Frank and Ruth Carnahan Stahlman.

She married Robert K. Heck, May 2, 1959 and he died November 18, 2003.

She and her husband Robert K. Heck owned and operated The Corners Grocery Store at Kepples Corners, Chicora from 1964 to 1988. She retired from M.T.W. Sewing Factory. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicora, the Altar Guild of the Church, a member of the Lutheran Church Women. She was, also, a Sunday School Teacher, a volunteer for Sugarcreek Ambulance Service, and a member of the Sugarcreek Fire Depart Ladies Auxillary.

Marion is survived by 2 daughters: Kathleen Heck of East Brady, and Alice Heck of Oakmont,, PA, 2 sons: David Heck of East Brady, and Alan Heck of East Brady and his fiancé Melanie Weaver. A sister-in-law Geraldine and her husband Don Bryan of Trussville, Alabama, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by her son Robert E. Heck, who died March 7, 1987, and 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Friends will be received at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 Main and E. Slippery Rock Streets, Downtown Chicora, PA at 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday, August 29, 2017 and Wednesday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2217 Chicora Road, Chicora, PA from 10 a.m. to time of service at 11 a.m  officiated by Reverend Joseph Boomhower. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Lutheran Cemetery, Route 268 Chicora, PA
