Lois Grace 'Dolly' Beilstein, 91, of Butler, Pennsylvania died at 6:15 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2001 at Sunnyview Nursing Home.
Born May 23, 1909 in Butler she was the daughter of Samuel and Birdie McCandless McKay.
She had been a resident of Butler for 62 years, graduating from Butler High School and the Witherspoon Institute of Institute Hill in Butler with a business degree. She went on to graduate in 1963 from the Passavant Hospital School of Nursing in Oakland, where she became a licensed practical nurse. She worked in the Butler area and in 1964 moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, returning in June 1994.She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Butler.
Lois is survived by a daughter, Mrs. William (Mary Jane) Oesterling of Chicora; three sons: James Beilstein of Apple Valley, California; Jack Beilstein of Clifton Springs, N.Y. and the Reverend Gerald Beilstein of Prescott, Arizona; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Carl Beilstein, whom she married October 5, 1929 who died February 10, 1959; a brother and 2 sisters.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2001 at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, Chicora, PA
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, 228 W. New Castle Street, Butler, Pa with the Reverend Tim Bopp, Pastor officating.
Interment will be in North Side Cemetery, Butler.
