Mary H. (Saeler) O'Donnell

Mary H. O’Donnell, 96 of Chicora, PA. passed away Wednesday,  June 14, 2017 in the Chicora Medical Center, Chicora, PA.

Born June 2, 1921 in Woodbine, PA to the late Alfred F. Saeler and Josephine Neff Saeler.

She married Clyde J. O’Donnell on October 18, 1952 who preceded her in death on March 13, 1984.

Mary was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland, Chicora, PA where she was a member of the Christian Mothers.

Having been employed at Castle Rubber in her early years she later worked at the Chicora Medical Center.

She is survived by a son Gary (Sandy) O’Donnell of Chicora, a daughter Norma (Robert) Miller of Karns City. Five grandchildren: Amy (Steven) Rodgers, Jason O’Donnell, Matthew O’Donnell, Kathryn O’Donnell and Nathan Miller. Four great-grandchildren: Graham Rodgers, Brooks Rodgers, Connor Rodgers, and Kora Mae O’Donnell, a sister-in-law, Beverly Saeler Charpentier.

Besides her husband of more than 31 years she is preceded in death by her parents, a daughter-in-law, Linda Mae O’Donnell, a grandson, Jeremy Miller, and three brothers: Howard Saeler, Edward Saeler and Raymond Saeler.

Friends will be received Thursday June 15, 2017 at STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Streets Downtown Chicora, PA, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be offered by Reverend John Butler at 11 a.m, Friday, May 16, 2017 at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland, Chicora, PA. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Church Cemetery, across the road from the Church.
