Margaret P. (Cricks) Callender

Margaret P. Callender, 72 of Chicora, PA. passed away Sunday July 9, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Concordia Home in Cabot.

Born in Niles, Ohio on November 21, 1944, the daughter of the late Martin L. Cricks and Dorothy P. Dunbar Cricks. She married John A. Callender, Sr. June 19, 1960 and he died July 29, 2005.

She was a homemaker and is survived by 4 sons: John Callender, Jr. and his wife Kimberly of Chicora, Bobby Callender and his wife Mary of Austin, Texas, Ronnie Callender of Chicora, Robert Gould and his wife Laura Lynn of Butler. 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and a sister Linda L. Hackett and her husband Earl of Butler, a brother Richard Cricks and his wife Nancy of Prospect, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by 2 sisters: Deborah Caldwell and Cynthia Hilliard. 2 brothers: Michael Cricks and Martin Cricks, Jr. a granddaughter Adriana Callender.

There is no visitation and no funeral service at the request of Margaret Callender.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the Chicora Volunteer Fire Department, Drawer F. Chicora, PA 16025.

Arrangements are entrusted to STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Streets, Chicora, PA.
