James M. Brewer Sr.

James M. Brewer Sr. age 77 of Buena Vista, Chicora, PA. died Sunday, November 19, 2017 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in Saxonburg, Sunday, July 28, 1940, the son of the late Melvin and Esther Flick Brewer.

He married Donna Jean Blose Brewer, April 18, 1958 and she died June 7, 1993.

He was employed at Pullman Standard in Butler for 17 years. He was an avid hunter, enjoying coon hunting, Horses, dogs, and chickens. He was a member of all of the horses associations of Pennsylvania, and was a member of Western PA. Coon Hunters Association. He was also a member of the Chicora Moose.

He is survived by 2 daughters: Pamela Sue and Mike Steiner---East Brady, Leeann and Mitch Dancik---Buena Vista, Chicora.  2 sons: Doug J. and Betsy Brewer---Woodbine, Maryland, James M. and Shari Brewer Jr.---Buena Vista. 10 grandchildren: Jamie A. Brewer, Larissa L. Dancik, Josh Dancik, Lacie Claypoole, Michael Steiner, Susan Brewer, J. R. Brewer, Kayla Occhiogrosso, Nate Brewer, and Robert Brewer.  3 great-granddaughters.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers and a sister.

There will be no visitation or viewing. Memorial services will be held Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 at 3 p.m. at the East Brady Baptist Church, 508 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA. 16028  with Reverend Mark Hillwig,  pastor officiating.

Burial of cremains will be beside his wife in Oak Grove Cemetery, State Route 268 Chicora, PA.

Arrangements are entrusted to STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, 111 E. Slippery Rock and Main Streets, Chicora, PA.
